Thyme Cottage is a 17th-century thatched cottage offering characterful accommodation for 6 in a fabulous location in the heart of Dunster, one of the most photographed villages in Somerset.
Enter into a beamed living/dining area with wood-burner. Further comfortable seating for you to relax is situated in the sitting room with electric 'wood burner' in the inglenook; the galley-style kitchen leads to is a small courtyard area with a table and seating. Upstairs there two double bedrooms as well as a twin bedroom. One of the bathrooms is located off the hall with a shower over the bath and toilet; the second bathroom is comprised of shower and toilet and is an en-suite bathroom to one of the double bedrooms. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses. A television and DVD player are provided. Two travel cots and a high chair are available for your use. There is an iron and ironing board. Wifi has recently been installed for guests' use and is free of charge. Electricity and heating Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Thyme Cottage is fitted with central heating plus the addition of an electric 'wood burner' in the sitting room and a wood-burner in the living/dining area (initial fuel included, thereafter available locally). Linen and towels Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips. Bed linen is not supplied for the cots. Other provisions A small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits are provided to ensure you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive. There may also be other non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and a few herbs or spices available. Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid and surface cleaner will be present in the property. One or two toilet rolls will be provided. Outside the property Thyme Cottage has a small enclosed courtyard with a bench and tables at the back of the property, with use of a BBQ for those sunny days! NB 2 small steps here. Parking Due to the development of this beautiful village prior to the invention of motor cars, parking in Dunster is limited. However, by staying in Thyme cottage you have the benefit of close location to public parking within 200 yards (pay and display), if the nearby street parking is busy. Dogs A maximum of 3 well behaved dogs are permitted in Thyme Cottage by prior agreement only; a supplement of £15 per dog will be added to your invoice. Your dogs will love the numerous walks that start within minutes of the front door! Please do not allow your dogs on the furniture or upstairs (we provide a stair-gate to assist with this) and do not leave them alone in the property at any time. Smoking Thyme Cottage is strictly non-smoking. Arrival and departure The property will be ready from 4 pm on the day of your arrival. Please depart by 10 am on the last day of your stay. Please leave the property clean and tidy so that we can guarantee it will be ready on time for our next guests. Changeover days Thyme Cottage is available for week-long bookings and short breaks.

+ MoreDunster is a bustling village comprised of several restaurants, pubs and tea rooms, plus a varied range of independent shops. 'The Stags Head' is a lovely restaurant/country inn only a short walk away, providing a cosy atmosphere and excellent food. The Foresters Pub is another ...choice for drinking only 50 yards away. Many of the shops in Dunster are open during traditional hours of 9 am to 5 pm, although hours are often extended during the summer season. Conversely, some shops may also reduce their opening days and/or hours out-of-season. The village also has a Post Office in the High Street which has a cash machine.
