Orchard View is a lovely two-bedroom cottage, fully accessible and set on the outskirts of the picturesque North Devon village of Goodleigh, nestled at the foot of the Exmoor hills. This barn conversion has been recently renovated and is situated on a working farm, next to another holiday cottage
Orchard View has an open plan living area, dining room and a well-equipped kitchen. The downstairs fully accessible bedroom has a king-size bed plus an ensuite bathroom. The second double bedroom and ensuite is on the first floor. Outside the front-door is an enclosed garden laid to lawn, with garden table and chairs, as well as off road car parking. Downstairs is accessible for wheelchair users. As you enter the cottage through a charming wooden porch, you step into an open-plan living area. To the left, you'll find a well-equipped kitchen with an electric hob and a separate eye-level oven, providing all the essentials for convenient self-catering, including a toaster, microwave, kettle, dishwasher, and fridge-freezer. The owners also offer access to a washing machine and tumble dryer upon request in their nearby house. To the right of the entrance, there's a dining area featuring a table and four chairs, perfect for comfortable meals. In front of the dining area lies a spacious lounge with two comfortable sofas, a wall-mounted smart TV, and a wood-burning stove, creating an inviting atmosphere for cosy evenings. The ground floor bedroom, fully accessible, is situated beyond the living area and features a king-size bed with ample space around it for wheelchair access, bedside cabinets, a lamp, and a wardrobe with drawers for storage. The ensuite bathroom is accessible through an extra-wide wooden door and is equipped with a large walk-in shower designed for wheelchair access, a folding shower seat, low shower controls, a raised toilet with a handrail, a heated towel rail, and a high sink with wheelchair-accessible space underneath, complemented by a low mirror and accessible storage. The ground floor boasts wooden or linoleum floors and under-floor heating. Access to the first floor is via a beautifully crafted wooden staircase leading to a mezzanine floor landing. The second double bedroom, located off the landing, features hand-made sliding wooden doors, a king-size bed, bedside tables with lamps, built-in storage, and an en-suite bathroom with sliding doors, a walk-in shower, toilet, washbasin, and a back-lit mirror.
