There's a TV, DVD, lots of books and games for rainy days and lazy evenings in front of the fire. Both rooms have views across the combe. The kitchen is to the rear of the cottage and is equipped with an electric oven, hob, fridge (with ice box), microwave, electric kettle, toaster, and washer-dryer. (Please note there isn't a separate freezer.) Upstairs is the bathroom, comprising shower over the bath, toilet and hand basin. The two bedrooms are also upstairs, one double bed and one twin room, both have views to the front of the cottage and you can hear the stream running alongside the garden at the front. Wifi, central heating and electricity are included. Coal and logs are available in Porlock. (We may be able to provide nets of logs for a small charge if you give us a week's notice.) All bed linen, towels and tea towels will be provided. Please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take them outside the cottage on day trips. Doors from the kitchen and sitting room both open onto the enclosed yard directly behind the property. Access to the second (outside) toilet is from the yard. Just across the quiet lane, a 5-bar gate opens into the lawned garden area, which is for the private use of Robin's Brook guests. One side of the lawn is bordered by the stream which runs down the far side of the garden and therefore children must be supervised at all times. The garden also has a picnic table and a lovely view of Hurlestone Down. Turn left out of the front door for an easy walk to the varied shops, pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and galleries of Porlock. Turn right to walk up through Hawkcombe woods and on to stunning moorland scenery, looking out for red deer and Exmoor ponies as you go. This is excellent dog-walking country and Exmoor has many dog-friendly pubs and tea rooms too.
