Those who love Exmoor love the countryside, with many of our cottage owners also animal lovers. Alternatively use a filter to search or by drop down – we have 84 cottages on Exmoor accepting dogs so there are plenty to choose from! You can also opt to search for cottages with a garden or cottages with an enclosed garden.

Dog Walking on Exmoor

Exmoor boasts some of the very best walking in the UK, with a great spectrum of terrain – from the dramatic coastline to high moorland, rolling hills and ancient woodlands, protected marshes to forestry paths there is something for everyone here. Check out the Exmoor National Park website for some inspiration, maps, routes and more.

Things to Do with dogs on Exmoor

Obviously walking is the most obvious option, which we’ve covered.  And going to the beach, or bringing your pooch along to the pub are also high up on the list so we’ve given you plenty of info for both of those too.  But you can also check out our Things to Do page – you will find plenty of pet friendly options for days out exploring Exmoor.  We recommend riding the Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway with your furry friend!  They love dogs there and it’s a one of a kind experience 🙂
